Healthy Taco Bowl Meal Prep

This week's meal prep will be your new and healthy lunches served for next week! I enjoy and love this recipe so much because not only is it quick to make but it has flavor that makes it seem as if it took hours to produce! You can double it up and change up the way of serving too! Try making this main entree into healthy burritos, a taco bowl over rice or even. taco salad for all you salad lovers!

I regret to say this, but I was a taco bell lover growing up... and it wasn't until my college years that I grew to despise the true food quality of the tacos I so dearly loved! Although this is far from taco bell, I always appreciate taco meat that has great quality with tasteful flavor! I hope you all enjoy this one as much as we did!


Healthy Turkey/Beef Taco Meat:


-1 lb ground turkey (93/7)

-1 lb ground beef (94/6)

-1/2 chopped and diced red onion

-2 Tbsp olive oil

-1 packet of siete medium taco seasoning mix

-1 packet of siete spicy taco seasoning mix

-4 garlic cloves minced

-1/4 cup cilantro chopped

-1/2 cup beef bone broth

-optional: if you dare- 1/4 cup chopped fresh jalapeños


  1. Heat up a large deep dish skillet on medium heat with 2 tbsp olive oil. Add the red onion, garlic cloves, cilantro and fresh jalapeños. Sautee for 2-3 min until fragrant.

  2. Add in the ground turkey and beef, with a wooden spoon try to break up the meat. Add in both packets of the siete seasoning. Let sautee and cook for 8 min on medium to high heat, cover with lid.

  3. Once the meat has brown all over, continue to breakup the meat into little bits. Add the beef bone broth to the mix. Cover again and let simmer on low to medium heat for an additional 15 min.

  4. Once fully cooked, top over almond flour taco wraps, burrito wraps, rice or salad! Enjoy!
