Juicy Spicy Watermelon Margaritas!
National Margarita Day has changed over the years! From store bought margaritas, to restaurant margs, to now making fresh and tasty margs- no matter the evolution of your kind of margarita.... any marg is a good marg in my eyes! This one is pretty delicious with the hints of spicy from the jalapeno and tajin to the sweetness and lightness of the watermelon! All margs are my friends and I do not say that lightly!
These would go so amazing with homemade tacos or fajitas! I'm getting hungry already just thinking about it! Have a great national marg day friends and enjoy responsibly!
Ingredients: -¼ cup Silver Tequila (more if you can take it! ;) -3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice -¼ cup fresh watermelon juice (make sure it’s strained!) -2-4 jalapeño slices, according to the level of spice you want -1 teaspoon organic agave nectar -Plenty of Ice, for shaking -Tajin or course salt
Instructions 1. Add tajin (or salt if your prefer) to a small plate. Use a lime wedge to the rim the glass and dip the top of the glass in the tajin or salt. Roll the glass until fully covered. 2. Fill a shaker with lots of ice, add the tequila (maybe a little extra ;), lime juice, watermelon juice, jalapeno slices, and agave nectar. Put on the lid and shake for about a minute- don't forget to do a little dance!! 3. Strain the drink into a glass and garnish with a fresh watermelon wedge, lime. Add some extra jalapeno for more spice if desired! (I like to add 1 or two more slices.) Cheers and enjoy!
